Singing has been a tradition for centuries, and brings together people from all walks of life. In a
chorus, there are no professions, no classes, no hierarchies, no status. We are all equal. Our
voices -- and the music we make -- define our standing. Together in song we come from the
community as we give back to the community our love of song and fellowship. We strive to be
a charitable organization working to provide scholarships to students interested in pursuing
musical studies. We intend to enrich our community while fostering support for the arts.
held at the United Methodist Church, 129 Miller Ave., Portsmouth, on Monday, 5:45 p.m. - 7:30
p.m., with Christmas and summer breaks. There are no auditions, just bring your voice. Then if
you like what you find, stick around for a fantastic season with a great group of people. Our
first rehearsal is non-singing and strictly social and is a great way to get to know the
chorus.Chorus membership is open to all male voices and does not require an audition. Singers
of all abilities are welcome, from the novice to the musically accomplished. Every effort is made
to meet the needs of singers. The PMC, whose mission is to foster community spirit through
singing, entertains at community and charity events, area nursing homes and other nonprofit
